Do Factory-Finished Interior WPC Panels Need Painting?

Factory-finished interior WPC normally does not need painting. That is the staff FAQ, and it is a stop sign for a crew that treats every wood-look wall as bare timber. A touch-up or a site coating is allowed only when the quoted finish says so. Choose the profile on the interior WPC wall panel collection first. Painting is not how you choose it.

Do these panels need paint?

No, not as a normal step. The drafts say factory-finished WPC products normally do not need painting. The finish you see in the catalog is the finish. Adding a site paint to "protect" it can block the look you ordered and can fail in a way the factory face was not tested for. Leave it. Clean it the way the finish instructions say, once those instructions exist for the handle.

Normally is the important word. It is not "never," and it is not "always coat in wet rooms." If a designer wants a painted color that the catalog does not offer, that is a different product conversation. It is not a Friday decision by the painter on a finished wall. Write the desired color before the boards are made, or accept the catalog face.

Interior WPC is not a priming exercise. Timber habits do not transfer. No sanding-and-primer sequence is written in this FAQ, so none is recommended here.

What if a board is scuffed?

Photograph the scuff and ask. The FAQ says to confirm permitted touch-up or repair methods for the active finish. A furniture pen, a smear of paint, or a full-wall recoat are three different risks. A small scuff on a 160 mm wooden-grain interior panel is still that handle's problem, not a generic WPC problem. Name the handle in the photo note. If the reply is "leave it," leave it. Whole-wall coating to hide mixed batches is also the wrong tool. Mixed color is a selection and lighting issue. Paint will not make two profiles into one profile.
